Clean, Safe, and Welcoming

The Field Operations Division - made up of the Public Safety, Sanitation, and Tourist & Visitor Services departments - keep the streets and sidewalks of the Grand Central Partnership district safe, clean, attractive, and welcoming — something GCP has done since its official creation as an organization in 1988.

Streetscape Beautification

The Grand Central Partnership's Capital Maintenance team members are the stewards of our streetscape assets, such as our signature green light poles, garbage cans, circular planters, bike racks, benches and lighted street scenes, to name a few.  They also execute our annual horticultural program,  planting our planters, hanging baskets and tree pits multiple times a year and bringing some welcome vegetation and colorful flowers to Midtown East's sidewalks.

Homeless Outreach

The Grand Central Partnership contracts Breaking Ground, a homeless services provider to the Midtown East area, to connect with and provide assistance, resources and care to individuals living on the street.

Business Support and Promotion

The Grand Central Partnership's External Affairs Department works to provide support to the district's businesses in a variety of ways, including connection to resources, specific promotions, and neighborhood-wide marketing as means to ensure this central business district continues to thrive.  As part of its promotion and support efforts, the External Affairs team compiles and analyzes various data related to the neighborhood such as pedestrian counts, leasing activity and history.
